Our Members
Our members are an integral part of Precision for Vision, making PFV the organization it is today. Precision for Vision serves its members through various ways in hopes of enhancing their individual experiences throughout their time at the University of California, Riverside.
Meet Others with Similar Interests
Joining PFV allows members to interact with one another during our meetings, fundraisers, socials, and more. Meet other like-minded students who want to support you and make lasting memories!
Gain Networking Opportunities
PFV helps its members gain hands-on experience by notifying them of available internships, volunteering/shadowing opportunities, and upcoming vision screenings. These opportunities are great ways to interact with patients, work in the optometrist setting, and network with professionals.
Obtain Guidance
PFV guides its members by reviewing the necessary pre-requisite courses for professional schools, providing OAT advice, and going to optometry schools on preview days. Many current members and alumni of PFV can serve as resources, for they can offer helpful advice and insight from their experiences.
Participate in General Meetings
Our General meetings are an excellent way to learn more about professions in eye care. We often invite professional and student guest speakers, optometry school admissions people, and alumni. Additionally, we educate our members on pertinent and beneficial information to better their knowledge of their future career.
